Guidelines for fair play
Almost everything with a ranking system has a way to improve said rank to raise through the system and FT:MT is no different. the purpose of this thread is to provide general knowledge for our member base concerning system. We will be starting from the very bottom of the rung and working our way up all the way to the top. Also for things like becoming a Spriggan 12 or a Ten Wizard Saint would not be found here as they are no ranks but more like job titles and can be found in the Limited Positions thread.
D Rank
D Rank Mages are barely recognized as Mages and have much work to do before they start becoming recognized for the work they put in. Advancing from this rank requires one to prove that they are gaining some understanding of their magic type by learning a few basic D Rank spells. This is not all however, as they also must prove that they can learn to take the next step in their training by learning a few C Rank spells as well. Finally, and maybe even more important is proving their worth to their respective government by completing jobs. There is a certain number of jobs a D Rank Mage must take of certain levels before they are ready to take an advancement job.
Requirements
- Learn 3 new D Rank spells
- Learn 2 new C Rank Spells
- Complete 5 D Rank Jobs
- Complete 5 C Rank Jobs
C Rank
C Rank Mages are just beginning to be recognized but still have not made a name for themselves or established their might through their magical accomplishments. Advancing from this rank requires one to prove that they are gaining more understanding of their magic type while still maintaining the basics by learning a few basic D Rank spells. This is not all however, as they also must prove that they can handle the rank they are on by learning a few C Rank spells as well. They most also show they are ready for the next step by learning some B Rank spells. Finally, and maybe even more important is proving their worth to their respective government by completing jobs. There is a certain number of jobs a C Rank Mage must take of certain levels before they are ready to take an advancement job.

Advancing from this rank requires one to prove that they are gaining an advanced understanding of their magic type by learning a few basic low ranked spells. This is not all however, as they also must prove that they can learn to take the next step in their training by learning a few A Rank spells as well. Finally, and maybe even more important is proving their worth to their respective government by completing jobs. There is a certain number of jobs a B Rank Mage must take of certain levels before they are ready to take an advancement job.

Making it easier to recognize them by face (if they wish to be recognizable) and almost impossible not to recognize by magic. Advancing from this rank requires one to prove that they are gaining a masterful understanding of their magic type by learning a few basic low ranked spells. This is not all however, as they also must prove that they can learn to take the next step in their training by learning a few S Rank spells as well. Finally, and maybe even more important is proving their worth to their respective government by completing jobs. There is a certain number of jobs a B Rank Mage must take of certain levels before they are ready to take an advancement job.
